Upcoming trip on the Kickapoo brings back good memories

The Kickapoo Mud is Deep, one of the many catch phrases that would come to define our 3 day 2 night paddle down the Kickapoo River. It was the weekend of October 9th in 2010, and it was 80 degrees in Wisconsin and the fall colors were amazing. We joked about a fake restaurant called The Beef Cave whose very existence was an innuendo, it turned out to be some of the most fun I have ever had. I Kayaked and two of my friends shared a canoe, since then one of them has become an avid Kayaker and joined me on many paddles, and this year we plan to repeat the trip, with more friends, and all Kayaks. Gerald and I (Geralds Birthday was the occasion for the trip) have since started a blog; The Beef Cave Adventure Side, about our Kayaking trips, with maps and tips for others to enjoy the same rivers, and in a few weeks we will set out again on the Kickapoo.
