Kayak fishing is rapidly growing in popularity as a great alternative to more traditional fishing approaches, and for good reason – it’s much more economical, when compared to boat fishing, offers tremendous flexibility and accessibility, and is much easier to transport.
And when compared to a relatively similar option such as a canoe, it offers much greater ability to travel long distances on water, which is also a huge plus when trying to reach good fishing locations.

I'm not even considered new to the kayak game because I don't have my kayak yet. My wife and I are looking at ( 2 ) Santa Cruz Raptor SOT's. Months of research and I'm ready to pull the trigger. Any suggestions on the proper paddle, seats, and fishing gear ? We have access to fresh and salt water here in Florida. I'm focusing more on the fishing aspect, and my wife is looking at more of the "exercise" part of it. Either way we are aniticipating having a blast. There are plenty of kayak…Continue

I live on Kootenay Lake and have for several years now, only recently have I discovered the amount of day users on our beach that kayak. Some days there would be only one or two and other days there would be 10 or 12. I was very envious. I borrowed a Necky kayak from a friend knowing instantly that I would love it. The very first time I ever sat or paddled in one I was gone for almost two hours. I was hooked!
I only paddled around for a bit, nothing serious. The boat…Continue

There you are, ready to buy a kayak… Suddenly, all of your dreams seem shattered as you discover the boat you fantasized about – is too small for you!
