"Great BETA! Thanks a bunch. Your input will definitely help in my search. Should be getting my cheap-o 54" tomorrow; will take that out and have a go at it. Cause I do have long arms... Cheers!"

"James: something in the 63 - 64" range should work for your height, but shorter may be okay if you have long arms. It is hard to find paddles longer than 60" unless they are customized. I do have a Sawyer paddle, direct e-mail contact at…"

"Thanks a lot. I heard one tip that I should squat with my butt about 6" off the ground and then measure from the floor to my nose (!). You can imagine how much fun that was. It then said to add that measurement to the length of the blade and…"

"I thought water ways were public access points in this country? Am I mistaken? The article mentions that to be in that river was trespassing, but I was under the impression that travel on water ways was a public right...Please inform."

James Moore replied to TJ & Lava's discussion Subaru Outback or Forester owners....?
"I bought a used 2000 Subaru Outback a couple of years ago with 118,000 on it. Right after I bought it (and I got a great deal so I am not complaining) I put about $1,500 into the thing, getting it running optimally. Since then, I have put almost…"
