My Paddling Life
When it comes to kayaking, it's something I've wanted to try since I lived in Sydney, Australia. But my ex-husband and I took a train trip across Australia and I came back with a little extra baggage, our beautiful daughter Erika. Now that I've finally tried it, I do love and enjoy it.
The river is my analogy for life, and paddling it heightens my experience of it and teaches me how to enjoy the good, the bad and the ugly. Mostly it's all beautiful. There's always more to learn.
I've met a lot of great people and made some new friends, an added bonus to the thrills and chills!!
Apart from kayaking I also enjoy traveling, watching movies, playing tennis and going to live music venues and comedy clubs.
I usually paddle with Loma Prieta Paddlers, or Gold Country Paddlers. I am lucky enough to be able to come up midweek sometimes. Invitations are appreciated, as are roll lessons :-) (still working on my combat roll). I could use a good T rescue person to practice combat rolls with. You may find me at Moffett or Richmond Pool on a Tuesday night at pool practice. If you share any of my interests, please drop me a line and/or introduce yourself so we can be friends.
