"Faith, the Hobie is awesome. Primarily you use the foot pedals and it goes really fast- it even leaves a wake. You only need to use the paddles (included) when you're in real shallow water, as the rudders for the foot pedals project beneath the…"

"Gotta ask how you like the Hobie. A friend of my broke her arm and constant paddling may not be an option. Wondering how this works for not only kayaking but also for transport and readying for the water. I've viewed them briefly at the paddle…"

Hi Beth,
I paddle the slough's more often than any other location. My folks belong to the Suisun Boat Club so I can use their boat as a launch spot as well as a nice spot to watch the sunset with a beer or 2 after paddling. Over the last few years the number of paddlers has increased in Suisun Harbor, which is good to see. My 72 yr. old dad paddles the slough in a 'Pungo' (small world) about 4-5x a week with a buddy of his so the water is good for anyone at any skill level. It's especially nice in the colder months as the wind decreases to almost nothing & the water is as smooth as a mirror.
