I love paddling rivers like that. Sure I complain about the portages, but I also take pride in getting through the tough spots, just like you obviously do as well...

okay on saturady may 2nd paddle the Rogue in Rockford. sunday may 3rd paddle Big pine IN. Tuesday may 5th paddled white river in hesperia. Wed. May 6th paddled Lake Mi in holland area went for a 4 mile paddle.
Its a hard life.

Well last night we Paddled on the Rogue in rockford. It was a great night on the River we had 10 of us show up. I Got to meet Don off this Site. Sorry Don if we bored you. Next time i will let you know were to stop and Wait and Watch. Just think we had some Good paddles go in the water and you and your Brother Stayed Dry way to go.

HEY all !!! had a great paddle on sat down the muskegon river from croton dam to newaygo !!! found a few rapids to play in and got caught in the rain for about 10min !!! took about 3 hrs! ROCK OUT WITH YOUR KAYAK OUT !!!!

Sounds like you have been out doing some paddling on the Elkhart. That's Great. Have you had any luck getting anyone to join you from the yahoo group ?
I was in Ky paddling this weekend it was a great trip.

well thats why im here...to learn before i buy...my buddy just bought a 14' kayak and he is ready to go out...i mostly snowboard in the winter and float down the river in the summer...but figured i need to find a new sport and kayaking sounded like a plan...me and my buddy use to rent kayaks and go but i figure its time to buy...i would like everyones input before i went to buy...I'm 6'3" and about 185lbs what size kayak do you think will suit me best? We will be going down rivers and lakes
