Smith and Bybee Lakes in Portland, OR

These are natural wetland areas on the peninsula between the Willamette and Columbia Rivers. You don't know it when you are on the water but the are smack dab in the middle of our industrial lands.

KAYAKING Osoyoos oxbows Red-winged Blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus)

 

Kayaking the Osoyoos Oxbows with Robin Dunham kayaking buddy from Penticton.

Part way through the video we almost get trampled by 4 deer bounding by. The Redwing Blackbirds are back. The sounds of the birds in this oxbows was awesome.
