Comment by emory camden mullis on December 14, 2010 at 8:41am hey just want to put a friendly caution out there. If you plan to go down a river that has a dam used to generate power (upper ocmulgee, below jackson lake and georgia power's plant) you will definately want to call for the discharge times of the day you will be on the river. This discharge can raise the water level by 3-5 feet and make the otherwise relatively calm rapids change from class II to deadly.....trust me, i learned this the hard way and lost over 300 dollars in equipment.
